In a battle of spectacular plays turned in by members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, fans have selected Weston Dressler's Week 4 diving touchdown catch as the 2012 TSN Play of the Year: Canadian Football Edition.

Dressler's highlight reel grab defeated Tristan Jackson's 129-yard missed field goal return in the final of a bracket that started with 12 plays from the 2012 season.

In their July 19 overtime loss to the Calgary Stampeders, the Roughriders were trailing by a point as half approached and looking for the momentum heading into the second half of the game.

Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant rolled back and threw the ball to the back of the end zone for Dressler, who was running a flag pattern.

Making a leaping adjustment in the air, Dressler was able to get both hands on the ball and secure the catch for a 20-yard receiving touchdown and a 21-15 halftime lead.

Dressler  finished the season with 1,206 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, both career high totals.

The TSN Play of the Year Showdown: Canadian Football Edition is presented by the All-New 2013 RAM 1500.
