The Calgary Stampeders have reportedly signed punter Rob Maver to new contract.

According to the Calgary Sun, the deal was completed on Friday.

The 26-year-old was an all-Canadian for the first time this season and had been eligible to explore free agency beginning February 15.

Maver averaged 43.2 yards per kick over 112 attempts and led the league with a net average of 37.7 yards per kick.

The Brampton, Ontario native teamed up with placekicker Rene Paredes to become Calgary's first ever all-star kicking duo.

It was a strong comeback year for Maver after he missed virtually all of the 2011 campaign with a torn quad muscle that he suffered in the first game of the season.
