The Calgary Stampeders locked up one of their own ahead of free agency, announcing the re-signing of import offensive lineman Stanley Bryant.

Bryant suited up for 13 regular season games with Calgary last season, as well as all three of the team's post-season contests.

"I'm pleased that Stanley decided to remain with the Stampeders rather than test free agency," head coach and general manager John Hufnagel said in a team release."The offensive line is a key to the success of any football club and Stanley is an important part of that unit for our club."

The 27-year-old has been with the Stampeders for three seasons and was named the team's nominee for Most Outstanding Lineman in 2011.

"Calgary is where I wanted to be and I'm happy to be coming back," Bryant said in the team statement. "This organization has great fans, great players and great coaches and I'm really glad to be a Stampeder."
