The Winnipeg Blue Bombers agreed to terms on a contract with import receiver Mike Sims-Walker on Tuesday.

Sims-Walker was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round (79th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft following a standout collegiate career that saw him record 184 receptions for 2,561 yards in 46 games.

"Mike is a very experienced receiver who we feel possesses great skill that could allow him to excel on our wide-open fields in Canada," said Blue Bombers acting general manager Kyle Walters. "We're looking forward to getting him acclimated to the CFL game."

Twice named an All-Conference USA selection, he set the school's all-time record for receptions in a season when he recorded 90 in his senior year.

After sitting out his rookie season in Jacksonville due to injury, Sims-Walker recorded 122 receptions over the next three seasons for 1,648 yards and 14 touchdowns before spending time with the St. Louis Rams in 2011.

He was released by the Rams in October after catching 11 passes for 139 yards and returned to Jacksonville that season but suffered a season-ending injury in November.

The team also announced they have signed import receiver Aaron Kelly and added import quarterback Jason Boltus to the practice roster.

Both Kelly and Boltus are former Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Kelly spent two years in Hamilton, catching 38 passes for 490 yards and three touchdowns.

Boltus spent three years with the Ticats, and was the third-string QB in his final season, 2011. Boltus went 5-15 for 48 yards in regular season action with Hamilton.
