The Edmonton Eskimos announced QB Mike Reilly has been diagnosed with a concussion.
Reilly sustained the injury in the second quarter of Saturday's loss to the Toronto Argonauts. Reilly was evaluated after the hit and then removed from the game one play later.
The first-year starter will continue to be evaluated and once symptom free will begin a standardized return-to-play protocol, the team announced.
The 28-year-old has been one of the few bright spots for Edmonton this season, throwing for 3,165 yards and 25 touchdowns to 13 interceptions on the year.
The Eskimos are 3-10 but are still in the playoff race, two games behind the Montreal Alouettes for a cross-over playoff berth in the East Division.
