The Edmonton Eskimos re-signed an important part of their defence on Thursday.
Edmonton locked up import defensive tackle Almondo Sewell to a contract extension that will keep him in Green and Gold through 2015.
Sewell was named a CFL All-Star this season and has been named a Western-Division All-Star the past two seasons.
The 26-year-old recorded 39 tackles, eight sacks and one fumble recovery in 2013. He's been in the league for three seasons, all with the Eskimos.
Sewelll played his college ball at Akron, but was born in Buff Bay, Jamaica.
