The B.C. Lions signed cornerback Dante Marsh to a contract extension on Friay and released receiver Paris Jackson.
Marsh, who turns 35 next week, has played 10 seasons in the CFL, all with the Lions. Last season Marsh had 73 tackles along with three interceptions.
Marsh was originally signed as a free agent prior to the 2004 season.
Jackson, 33, was also a career Lion, having played all 11 of his CFL seasons with the Lions. The Vancouver native compiled 5,757 yards receiving and 31 touchdowns for the Lions.
"Paris has requested his release to pursue a more significant playing role on another CFL club," Lions general manager Wally Buono said in a statement. "The B.C. Lions thank him for his many contributions to our organization both on and off the field and wish him the very best."
Jackson was the B.C.'s first-round selection (sixth overall) in the 2003 CFL Draft.
