OTTAWA -- The Ottawa Redblacks have released veteran international linebacker T.J. Hill.

Hill, in his eighth CFL season, had 21 tackles and two sacks in five games with the expansion Redblacks this season.

He has 563 tackles, 14 sacks and 13 interceptions in his CFL career.

He joined the Montreal Alouettes for the 2007 season and moved on to Edmonton in 2009. He played five seasons with the Eskimos before being released in February.

"I'd like to thank T.J. for his contributions to the Redblacks," head coach Rick Campbell said in a statement. "He's a true professional and we wish him the best in his future endeavours."

The Redblacks also signed several players to contract extensions.

International defensive lineman Jonathan Williams, national offensive lineman J'Micheal Deane and international running back Chevon Walker received two-year contract extensions.

International quarterback Thomas DeMarco, national defensive lineman Zack Evans and national defensive lineman Justin Capicciotti were extended by one year.
