The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed import receiver Terence Jeffers-Harris and released linebacker Siddeeq Shabazz on Friday.
''Terence has great size and great speed, and we think he's suited for the Canadian game,'' said Vice-President and General Manager of Football Operations Joe Mack.
''Siddeeq was a good player for our club and we thank him for his services,'' added Mack.
Jeffers-Harris started 21 of 25 games in two seasons at the University of Connecticut. In 2007, he caught 44 passes for 582 yards and five touchdowns before transferring to Vanderbilt. He sat out the 2008 season under NCAA transfer rules. Overall, he finished his NCAA career with 61 receptions for 782 yards and five touchdowns.
