The Calgary Stampeders have signed non-import running backs Lyle Green and Steven Turner.

Green played 161 consecutive games with the BC Lions from 2001-09, playing in two Grey Cups and winning in 2006. Green had career-highs in rushing yards (343), carries (60) and touchdowns (three) in 2002. The Lions released him on June 24, 2010.

Turner, originally drafted by the Argonauts 30th overall in 2010, is in his first CFL season. He was twice named a Quebec University Football League all-star while playing for Bishop's University.
