According to Swayze Waters' Twitter account, the import kicker will be a member of the Toronto Argonauts. Toronto was known to be talking to Waters after veteran kicker Noel Prefontaine suffered a hip injury.

Prefontaine aggravated a pre-existing injury at the end of the first half of Saturday's 36-27 loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and was replaced by Anthony Alix.

On Sunday, head coach Scott Milanovich said that it was unlikely Prefontaine would be available for Wednesday's game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and that the team was "very close" to bringing in a new kicker.

The 25-year-old Waters spent the first two weeks of the season on the Edmonton Eskimos' practice roster. The Jackson, Mississippi, native is a former NFL kicker who spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders and Detroit Lions.
