Anthony Calvillo, Jerald Brown, Chris Williams and Shea Emry were named the Gibson's Finest Players of the Week for Week 3 of the CFL season.

Calvillo's sore shoulder was not a problem as he completed 23 of 38 passes for 325 yards and three touchdowns in Montreal's 33-32 comeback win over the Calgary Stampeders on Thursday night. Calvillo's longest completion of the night was a 69-yard touchdown pass to Brian Bratton at 11:14 of the first quarter.

Calvillo came up big in the fourth quarter, completing a seven-yard pass to S.J. Green at 13:13, followed by a three-yard pass to rookie Patrick Lavoie at 14:13 that helped seal the win for the Alouettes on Thursday night.

Brown was named the Defensive Player of the Week for Week 3. In addition to registering five tackles in Montreal's win, Brown intercepted Calgary quarterback Kevin Glenn with 1:36 remaining in the fourth quarter, returning it 33 yards downfield.

Calvillo and Brown were not the only Montreal Alouettes to be recognized for their efforts, as linebacker Shea Emry was named the Canadian Player of the week. The Richmond, BC native was solid all night as he registered a game high six tackles and helped his team move into sole possession of first place in the East Division.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver and kick returner Chris Williams was named the Special Teams Player of the Week in this season's first installment of the Battle of Ontario. Williams had four punt returns for 113 yards and a touchdown, one missed field goal return for a 119-yard touchdown and one reception for 34 yards for his third touchdown of the evening. Williams' 264 all-purpose yards were key in securing the Ticats' 36-27 win over the Toronto Argonauts.
