Blue Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce ran the first-team offence during practice on Wednesday, even though he is scheduled for one more test as part of the concussion protocol.

If he passes the final test, he will play against the Montreal Alouettes on Monday. According to head coach Tim Burke, if he fails the test on Wednesday, he will undergo the same test again on Thursday.

Pierce admits to having headaches after a violent hit by Brandon Isaac in last week's game against the Toronto Argonauts but he did not tell training staff at the time. Burke said if the medical staff had known he was having headaches, he would not have been allowed back in the game. Pierce admitted having headaches at half-time and did not return.

If Pierce does not play, Joey Elliott will get the start. Offensive coordinator Gary Crowton is preparing two game plans depending on which one starts.
