The Montreal Alouettes are expected to announce the signing of former McMaster Marauders quarterback Kyle Quinlan in the near future.

Quinlan was the MVP of the 2011 Vanier Cup and the 2012 Hec Crighton Award winner.

He signed with Montreal after his fourth year of school and impressed at the Alouettes' training camp in 2012 before returning to McMaster for a fifth and final season.

The 23-year-old pivot from South Woodslee, Ontario led the CIS this season with 19 touchdown passes against just two interceptions and was near the top of most offensive categories in Canadian university football.
