The Winnipeg Blue Bombers appear to have lost two free agents to the NFL. Who they are precisely, remains a question.

According to a report in the Winnipeg Sun, Blue Bombers head coach Tim Burke said last week that a couple of his players had agreed to NFL contracts, but refused to identify them until their deals were official.

The Winnipeg Sun reported one of the players heading south is likely defensive end Jason Vega, who had a workout with the New England Patriots in December.

Other pending free agents from Winnipeg include Deon Beasley, Marcellus Bowman, Clarence Denmark, Jonathan Hefney, Fernand Kashama, and Bryant Turner.

Pending CFL free agents are still under contract until February 15, meaning any deal with an NFL team cannot be made official until that date. Burke did say however that he would likely grant a player an early release to facilitate a deal with an NFL club.
