After one year on the west coast, Byron Parker is heading back to the East Division in the CFL.

One day after the veteran defensive back was released by the BC Lions, Parker signed a one-year deal with an option with the Montreal Alouettes.

Parker spent three seasons with the Toronto Argonauts before signing in BC last season. The 32-year-old had 38 tackles and one interception for the Lions last year.

In eight CFL seasons (six with the Argos), Parker has 236 tackles and 29 interceptions.
