HAMILTON, Ont. -- Paul Osbaldiston will return as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats assistant special-teams coach.

The CFL team announced Thursday that Osbaldiston will remain in his current role. Osbaldiston spent his first season as a full-time coach with Hamilton on George Cortez's staff and will continue working with kicker Luca Congi and punter Josh Bartel as part of new head coach Kent Austin's staff.

Under Osbaldiston's guidance, Congi and Bartel were East Division all-stars last season.

Osbaldiston, 48, served as the Ticats kicker and punter for 18 seasons before retiring following the 2003 season, helping the club win Grey Cup titles in 1986 and '99. Last season, he was selected as the top kicker and punter in franchise history.
