The Toronto Argonauts could be without the services of Ricky Ray next week as head coach Scott Milanovich told reporters on Tuesday that his status is day-to-day.
"He's significantly better than he was a year ago (when he injured his left knee)," said Milanovich, adding that he anticipates making a decision later in the week.
Injured in last Friday's win in Winnipeg, Ray was on the field Tuesday wearing a left knee brace and did not participate in stretches or drills during the Argos' brief half-hour practice.
Ray, who was 19-for-20 on his pass attempts for 286 yards in a 35-19 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday, left the game in the third quarter after being tackled.
If Ray can't go next Tuesday against the B.C. Lions, Milanovich will then decide between Zach Collaros and Trevor Harris as his starter.
