Tim Hortons Field gets permit in time for Labour Day Classic

Labour Day in Hamilton is a go.

So said the tweet from the City of Hamilton Sunday night, declaring that new Tim Hortons Field was issued an occupancy permit less than 24 hours before the Tiger-Cats are scheduled to take on their Southern Ontario rivals, the Toronto Argonauts, in the Labour Day Classic.

Chief building official Ed VanderWindt said that Tim Hortons Field meets all the safety requirements heading into the Labour Day Classic, according to the Hamilton Spectator.
