Michael Dubuc scored twice, including the game-winner, as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies built a three-goal first-period lead and held on to beat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 5-4 in QMJHL action Friday night.
Jeff Desjardins, Pier-Luc Giguere and Brett Morrison had the first-period goals for the Huskies (43-19-2-1).
The second period belonged to the Titan, with Tomy Joly and Eric Faille scoring to cut Rouyn-Noranda's lead to one.
Dubuc restored the two-goal lead in the third period before Remi Blanchard and Tomas Svoboda scored 1:07 apart for the Titan (35-25-1-2) to tie the game 4-4. Dubuc scored the winner 1:10 after Svoboda had tied the game.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: St. John's 6 Cape Breton 0, P.E.I. 4 Lewiston 2; Baie-Comeau 7 Drummondville 3; Gatineau 7 Shawinigan 0; and Rimouski 7 Victoriaville 1.
At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Maxim Gougeon made 22 saves for the Huskies, while Bradley Dyke turned away 32 shots for the Titan.
