Gaelan Patterson scored the game-winning goal in the third period as the Saskatoon Blades downed the Calgary Hitmen 3-1 in Western Hockey League action Sunday night.
Burke Gallimore and Stefan Elliott also scored for the Blades (7-4-0-0), who have won six straight games including four in a row on the road.
Ian Schultz scored the lone goal for the Hitmen (7-3-0-0), whose five-game winning streak came to an end. It was also the first time the Hitmen lost on home ice at the Pengrowth Saddledome in seven games this season.
Elsewhere in WHL action, it was: Chilliwack 2 Seattle 1 (SO); Brandon 6 Red Deer 2; and Swift Current 2 Medicine Hat 0.
At Calgary, rookie Saskatoon goalie Adam Morrison made 22 saves to improve his record to 2-0, while Hitmen netminder Martin Jones stopped 21 shots.

At Chilliwack, B.C., Kevin Sundher scored the shootout winner as the Bruins beat Seattle.
Jadon Potter scored in regulation for the Bruins (5-2-2). Thomas Hickey countered for the Thunderbirds (2-6-1).

At Red Deer, Alta., Matt Calvert scored twice and Nathan Green notched his first goal of the season and added two assists as the Brandon Wheat Kings recorded a 6-2 WHL win over the Red Deer Rebels Sunday.
Scott Glennie, Paul Ciarelli and Colby Robak also scored for Brandon (5-4-0-0). Landon Ferraro notched both goals for Red Deer (3-5-0-3).
