WHL: Blades net 10 straight goals in rout over Warriors

Curtis Hamilton and Chris Langkow each scored twice as the Saskatoon Blades scored 10 straight goals in an 11-1 pasting of the Moose Jaw Warriors in Western Hockey League play Sunday night.

Teigan Zahn, Travis Toomey, Jyri Niemi, Walker Wintoneak, Derek Hulak, Josh Nicholls and Brendon Wall also scored for the Blades (34-11-3-1), who now have points in 13 straight games.

Elsewhere in the WHL on Sunday night, it was: Calgary 7, Regina 4; Swift Current 6, Prince Albert 3; Tri-City 4, Everett 3 in overtime; and Vancouver 5, Chilliwack 0.

On Saturday, it was: Brandon 6, Kootenay 5 in a shootout; Kelowna 5, Kamloops 2; Medicine Hat 5, Prince George 2; Prince Albert 4, Moose Jaw 3; Red Deer 5, Lethbridge 3; Saskatoon 3, Edmonton 1; Seattle 3, Portland 1; Spokane 5, Tri-City 2; and Vancouver 7, Everett 0.

At Saskatoon, Kevin Smith scored his first WHL goal on the power play to tie the game in the first period for the Warriors (14-33-1-1), who have now lost nine straight games.

Adam Morrison made 23 saves for the Blades.

Warriors starter Deven Dubyk stopped 15 shots and allowed six goals before being pulled in the second period for Jeff Bosch, who stopped 18 shots and allowed the final five goals.

Hitmen 7, Pats 4

At Calgary, Keith Seabrook scored twice and set up another as the Hitmen set a franchise record with six power-play goals.

Bostjan Golicic and Michael Stone added two goals apiece, while Paul Postma scored once and set up three others for Calgary (42-7-2-1).

Matt Robertson, with two, Tomas Hricina and Jordan Eberle replied for the Pats (22-23-1-5).

Broncos 6, Raiders 3

At Swift Current, Sask., the Broncos scored four times in the third period to break open a close game.

Keegan Dansereau, Mike Brown, Jordan Peddle, Cody Eakin, Justin Dowling and Geordie Wudrick scored for the Broncos (27-23-0-1).

Jordan Hickmott, Igor Revenko, and Ryan McDonald replied for Prince Albert (23-27-3-1).

Giants 5, Bruins 0

At Chilliwack, B.C., Garry Nunn scored two goals and Tyson Sexsmith made 20 saves to lead Vancouver.

Casey Pierro-Zabotel, with a goal and two assists, Andrej Kudrna and Nick Ross also scored for the Giants (41-4-0-3).

Lucas Gore made 51 saves for Chilliwack (14-31-2-4).

Americans 4, Silvertips 3 (OT)

At Kennewick, Wash., Mitch Fadden's second goal of the game came at 1:10 of overtime as Tri-City rallied past Everett, which has lost six straight.

Taylor Procyshen also scored twice for the Americans (33-14-0-3).

Shane Harper, Zack Dailey and Alex Theriau replied for the Silvertips (21-21-6-1).
