London Knights forward John Tavares aggravated his shoulder Friday night in a game against the Windsor Spitfires and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

Early in the first period, Tavares was on the wrong end of a big hit behind the net by Taylor Hall and left the game.

Sources told TSN X-rays were negative and that there was no significant damage to Tavares' shoulder.

The young phenom has 15 goals and nine assists in 10 games for London since being acquired from the Oshawa Generals in January.

He is the projected number one pick for the NHL Entry Draft.
