KITCHENER, Ont. - Kaspars Daugavins scored in overtime as the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors beat the Kitchener Rangers 5-4 in Ontario Hockey League action Tuesday.
Daugavins salvaged the extra point for the Majors after Kitchener's Tyler Randell tied the game with 18 seconds left in regulation.
Kale Kerbashian, Jordan Mayer, Riley Brace and Casey Cizikas also scored for Mississauga (29-22-1-2), which had a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes but let Kitchener back into the game in the third period.
Jeff Skinner, with two, and Chris MacKinnon had the other goals for the Rangers (22-27-2-2).
Chris Carrozzi made 36 stops for Mississauga. Parker Van Buskirk made 16 saves on 21 shots, while Mike Morrison stopped the only shot he faced.
Windsor 5, Guelph 3
Taylor Hall had two assists to move within three points of the Ontario Hockey League scoring lead and the Windsor Spitfires beat the Guelph Storm 5-3 Tuesday.
Hall has 33 goals and 42 assists for 75 points in 52 games. London Knights forward John Tavares leads the OHL with 78 points in 43 games.
Greg Nemisz and Dale Mitchell each had a goal and an assist for Windsor, which leads the OHL with 97 points (48-6-0-1) and has already clinched the West Division title. Harry Young, Justin Shugg and Mark Cundari also scored, while Andrei Loktionov also had two assists.
Cory Syvret, Tim Priamo and Tyler Melancon scored for Guelph (28-19-3-3) which is second in the Midwest Division. Matt Kennedy chipped in with a pair of assists.
Andrew Engelage made 30 saves for Windsor. Guelph starter Jake Fischer stopped 10 of 13 shots. Replacement Brandon Foote made 19 saves on 21 shots.
