OHL: Young scores OT winner as the Spitfires beat Sting

Harry Young scored the winner in overtime and Andrew Engelage made 24 saves as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Sarnia Sting 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

The league-leading Spitfires have now won six in a row.

Adam Henrique had two goals for Windsor, while Justin DiBenedetto scored twice for Sarnia.

Joe Rogalski also scored for the Sting.

In other OHL action, Peterborough beat Guelph 7-4 and Barrie edged Owen Sound 3-2 in overtime.

At Windsor, Ont., the Spitfires trailed 3-1 after 40 minutes but tied the game up on Henrique's second of the night and Taylor Hall's 37th of the season.

Windsor defenceman Ryan Ellis had four assists to pace the Spitfires offensively.

Dan Spence made 34 saves in a losing effort for the Sting.

Petes 7 Storm 4

At Peterborough, Ont., Zack Kassian had three goals and an assist as the Petes beat Guelph.

Jamie Doornbosch had two goals and an assist while Brett Theberge added a pair of goals for Peterborough (23-31-0-2). Tony Romano added three assists.

Corey Syvret had a goal and two assists while Tim Priamo, Nathan Martine and Peter Holland replied for Guelph (28-20-3-3).

Colts 3 Attack 2 (OT)

At Barrie, Ont., Josh Brittain scored his third goal of the game in overtime as the Colts beat Owen Sound.

Peter Di Salvo made 33 saves for the Colts (24-26-3-1).

Steven Shipley and Joey Hishon scored and Scott Stajcer made 35 saves for the Attack (21-20-7-6).
