KELOWNA, B.C. -- The Kelowna Rockets are going back to the Memorial Cup.
Tyson Barrie scored 8:13 into overtime Saturday as the Rockets beat the Calgary Hitmen 3-2 in Game 6 of the Western Hockey League championship to take the series 4-2.
Kelowna, which won the Memorial Cup as hosts in 2004, will take part in the tournament for the fourth time in seven years when it gets under way May 15 in Rimouski, Que.
Colin Long and Lucas Bloodoff also scored for Kelowna while Bostjan Golicic and Joel Broda replied for Calgary.
Mark Guggenberger made 24 saves for the Rockets, while Martin Jones turned aside 47 shots for the Hitmen.
The Rockets represented the WHL at the Memorial Cup in 2003 and 2005 as league champions.
