OWEN SOUND, Ont. -- AJ Jenks scored two goals, including the short-handed winner, and added an assist as the Plymouth Whalers defeated the Owen Sound Attack 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday.
Myles McCauley, Joe Gaynor and Garrett Meurs also scored for Plymouth (5-3-0).
Steven Shipley scored both goals for the Attack (1-6-1).
Matt Hackett made 30 saves for the Whalers while Scott Stajcer stopped 22 shots for the Attack.
In Belleville, Matthew Tipoff's second goal of the game 2:53 into overtime lifted the Bulls past the Ottawa 67's 3-2.
The 67's had sent the game to an extra period on Marc-Anthony Zanetti's first goal of the season with 2:44 left in regulation.
Tipoff added a goal early in the third period, while Stephen Johnston had a power-play goal to lead the Bulls (3-3-1).
Matias Sointu had a first-period power-play goal for Ottawa (2-3-3).
Philipp Grubauer preserved the win for Belleville with a 27-save performance.
Chris Perugini was spectacular in defeat for the 67's, turning aside 45 shots.
