The Saint John Sea Dogs have dominated both ends of the rink lately, and have been rewarded with a share of first place in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Yann Sauve scored and had two assists as the Sea Dogs extended their winning streak to five games in a 6-1 victory over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Sunday.

Sauve has been a key part of the Sea Dogs' streak, scoring at least a point in each victory. Stanislav Galiev and Steven Anthony have also been hot, contributing points in their last four games.

Saint John outscored its opponents 23-7 during its win streak, with only three goals allowed in the past three games. The span has tied the Sea Dogs with Drummondville at the top of the QMJHL standings, only losing ground to the Voltigeurs on games played.

After four victories have all been with Marc-Antoine Gelinas between the pipes for the Sea Dogs, Saint John went with Karel St-Laurent in goal Sunday. The result was the same as St-Laurent made 21 saves for his fourth win of the season.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Victoriaville 8 Baie-Comeau 1; Rimouski 4 Chicoutimi 1; and Drummondville 6 Shawinigan 3.
