Marc-Olivier Vallerand scored twice and Ryan Bourque added four assists as the Quebec Remparts beat the Moncton Wildcats 5-2 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Thursday.
Kelsey Tessier added a goal and an assist for Quebec (12-3-3).
Martin Lefebvre added three assists and netminder Peter Delmas turned aside 40 shots.
Kirill Kabanov and Ted Stephens replied for Moncton (12-6-2).
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Montreal 6 Halifax 2; Rouyn-Noranda 4 Shawinigan 1; and Saint John 3 Chicoutimi 1.
At Moncton, N.B., Louis Domingue allowed all five Quebec goals before getting pulled in favour of backup Wendell Vye.
Domingue finished with 16 saves, while Vye stopped both shots he faced.
Quebec finished 3-for-5 on the power play, while Moncton wound up 1-for-6.
Junior 6 Mooseheads 2
At Halifax, six different players scored for Montreal as the Junior beat the lowly Mooseheads.
Tomas Knotek scored both goals for Halifax (1-16-1).
Jean-Francois Berube made 22 saves to pick up the win for Montreal (8-8-1).
Huskies 4 Cataractes 1
At Shawinigan, Que., Jerome Cote and Jerome Gauthier-Leduc each had a goal and an assist in Rouyn-Noranda's win over the Cataractes.
Philippe Cornet added three assists and Mickael Audette made 25 saves for the Huskies (11-7-3).
Antoine Houde-Caron scored the only goal for Shawinigan (8-8-2).
Sea Dogs 3 Sagueneens 1
At Chicoutimi, Que., Steven Anthony scored the go-head goal in the second period as Saint John got past the Sagueneens.
Jonathan Huberdeau and Yann Sauve also scored for the Sea Dogs (14-4-1).
Michael Stinziani had the lone goal for Chicoutimi (7-7-4).
