Edward Pasquale gave the Saginaw Spirit a chance to win and Garret Ross didn't let him down.

Ross scored the only goal in the shootout and Saginaw beat the first-place Windsor Spitfires 5-4, extending their win streak to three games in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.

Pasquale was perfect in the shootout after stopping 36 shots as Windsor outshot the Spirit 40-22. Russian prospect Ivan Telegin had two goals and an assist for the Spirit (10-4-2) and Jordan Skellett added three assists in the win.

Telegin is projected to be a first-round selection in the 2010 NHL entry draft. OHL scoring leader Taylor Hall -- projected to be the first-overall selection -- matched Telegin with a three-point game for Windsor. Hall's goal and two assists raise his point total to 38 on the season, four points ahead of fellow top draft prospect Tyler Seguin.

Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Barrie 2 Niagara 1; Owen Sound 4 Mississauga 1; Plymouth 4 Erie 3; and Sarnia 4 Belleville 2.
