PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. -- Mark McNeill scored two goals and the shootout winner for the Prince Albert Raiders in a 5-4 victory over the Red Deer Rebels in Western Hockey League action Tuesday night.

Anthony Bardaro and Dakota Conroy also found the back of the net for the Raiders (3-0-1) in the win.

Charles Inglis scored twice for the Rebels (1-3-1), opening and closing his team's scoring in the first 60 minutes of play.

His second goal, which came from on a power play, tied the game at four with just over a minute remaining in the third period. Cory Millette and Matt Bellerive also scored for Red Deer.

Inglis, Millette, and Bellerive all failed to beat Raiders' goaltender Luke Siemens in the shootout.

Siemens turned away 32-of-36 shots in regulation play, while Rebels' netminder Bolton Pouliot stopped 30-of-34 shots.

"I don't think it was the prettiest game but we stuck with it. We played really hard and hated to give the lead up in the middle of the game but I thought we showed some resilience," said Prince Albert's general manager Bruno Campese.

Campese was also pleased with the performance of Chicago Blackhawks' prospect McNeill, who is now ranked 15th in the WHL in scoring.

"It was his best game of the year. He played hard. He scored two real nice goals tonight," said Campese.

McNeill's first goal was also Prince Albert's lone power-play conversion on six chances. Red Deer capitalized on two of four man-advantage opportunities, both goals by Inglis.

Campese applauded Siemens' composed performance in the shootout, despite the Raiders netminder giving up three goals in the third period.

"He's an older guy and he plays with a lot of confidence," said Campese. "He's been just real calm and composed. I don't think it was his best night but I think when it counted he stood tall in the shootout and overtime."

The Raiders now hit the road to face the Edmonton Oil Kings on Thursday, while the Rebels continue their seven-game road trip and will play the Saskatoon Blades on Wednesday.
