Saint John Sea Dogs forward Jonathan Huberdeau has been suspended for a total of four games for an incident during the team's Dec. 9 loss to the Halifax Mooseheads.

Huberdeau was assessed 11 penalty minutes including three misconducts surrounding his fight with Mooseheads defenceman MacKenzie Weegar. The incident also saw Huberdeau take a linesman to the ice after being separated from an altercation.

He received an automatic one game for instigating a fight during the five last minutes of regulation time and an automatic three games for abuse towards an official.

Huberdeau departed for Team Canada's World Junior selection camp in Calgary on Monday and the suspension, which takes effect immediately, will be served out by the time he returns from the tournament.
