CRANBROOK, B.C. -- Henrik Samuelsson and Reid Petryk scored in the shootout as the Edmonton Oil Kings extended their win streak by defeating the host Kootenay Ice 4-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Edgars Kulda, Curtis Lazar and Samuelsson scored in regulation for the Oil Kings (28-12-1), who won their fifth game in a row.
Luke Philp, Zach McPhee and Tim Bozon scored for the Ice (21-20-4) and Rinat Valiev chipped in with two assists.
Tristan Jarry made 18 saves for Edmonton while Kootenay's Wyatt Hoflin stopped 40-of-43 shots in a losing cause.
The Oil Kings went 1 for 4 on the power play as the Ice scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
REBELS 4 WARRIORS 3
MOOSE JAW, Sask.-- Conner Bleackley scored twice, including the winner, as Red Deer edged the Warriors.
Aspen Sterzer scored once and set up two more for the Rebels (21-20-2) and Vukie Mpofu had the other.
Torrin White, Brayden Point and Ben Duperreault scored for Moose Jaw (13-25-6).
Patrik Bartosak made 29 saves for Red Deer. Justin Paulic allowed three goals on five shots and was pulled less than seven minutes into the game. Zach Sawchenko replaced Paulic and turned away 29-of-30 shots, but picked up the loss.

CALGARY -- Regina scored two short-handed goals en route to defeat the Eastern Conference's top club.
Dyson Stevenson and Chandler Stephenson scored while down a man for the Pats (22-17-5), who led 3-0 early in the second period, and Boston Leier had a goal and an assist.
Brady Brassart and Jake Virtanen supplied the offence for the Hitmen (29-9-5), who sit first in the East.
Dawson MacAuley made 29 saves for Regina as Chris Driedger turned aside 28 shots for Calgary.

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. -- Eetu Laurikainen stopped 25 shots for his second shutout of the season as the Broncos handed Saskatoon its fourth loss in a row.
Brett Lernout, Jay Merkley and Nathan Burns each had a goal and an assist for Swift Current (23-15-6) while Graham Black and Codo Gordon had three assists apiece.
Glenn Gawdin and Brycen Martin also scored for the Broncos.
Troy Trombley turned away 32-of-37 shots for the Blades (12-30-4).

BRANDON, Man. -- Prince Albert's Leon Draisaitl and Carson Perreaux scored eight second apart in the second period as the Raiders held on to defeat the Wheat Kings.
Mackenze Stewart and Jayden Hart also scored for Prince Albert (22-18-2), which led 4-1 after 40 minutes of action.
Ryan Pulock had a goal and an assist for Brandon (22-17-4) while John Quenneville and Jens Meilleur added the others.
Cole Cheveldave made 36 saves for the Raiders. Curtis Honey gave up three goals on 13 shots and was pulled for Jordan Papirny, who stopped 12-of-13 shots in defeat.

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. -- Damon Severson and Nick Merkley each had a goal and an assist as Kelowna toppled the Hurricanes.

Giorgio Estephan scored the lone goal for Lethbridge (9-31-5).

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Six players recorded a multi-point game for the Chiefs as they doubled up Kamloops for their fourth win in a row.
Mitch Holmberg, Dominic Zwerger, Riley Whittingham and Connor Chartier had a goal and an assist each for Spokane (26-13-2) while Mike Aviani and Hudson Elynuik had two assists apiece. Adam Helewka and Reid Gow added a goal each to round out their club's offence.
Collin Shirley had a pair of goals for the Blazers (10-29-4), who dropped their fourth straight contest, and Jesse Shynkaruk scored once.
Garret Hughson made 22 saves for the Chiefs as Bolton Pouliot kicked out 24-of-29 shots for Kamloops.

VICTORIA -- Coleman Vollrath made 38 saves and Jack Walker scored the winner as the Royals slipped past Portland by way of shootout.
Ben Walker and Steven Hodges scored in regulation for Victoria (29-14-2) and Austin Carroll had two assists.
Nicolas Petan and Brendan Leipsic each had a goal and an assist for the Winterhawks (26-12-5) and Derrick Pouliot had a pair of assists.
Corbin Boes stopped 31-of-33 shots for Portland.
GIANTS 6 COUGARS 4
VANCOUVER -- The Giants scored five times in the opening period and never looked back as they held off Prince George.
Ty Ronning, Dominik Volek, Tim Traber, Jackson Houck, Joel Hamilton and Mason Geertsen scored for Vancouver (22-15-7).
The Cougars (16-23-6) got goals from Marc McNulty, Zach Pochiro, Klarc Wilson and Tate Olsen.
Jared Rathjen made 22 saves for the Giants. Ty Edmonds gave up four goals on 13 shots and was relieved by Adam Beukeboom, who stopped 25-of-27 shots in 49 minutes of action.

EVERETT, Wash. -- Jujhar Khaira had two goals and two assists as the Silvertips defeated Tri-City to halt a four-game slide.

Justin Hamonic, Devon McAndrews and Lucas Nickels supplied the offence for the Americans (19-20-4).
