Hockey Canada announced its 18 players taking part in Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team for the 2016 IIHF U18 World Championship on Friday.

The roster includes defencemen Logan Stanley, Jakob Chychrun and forwards Michael McLeod and Tyson Jost, all highly-touted prospects for the 2016 NHL Draft.  

The roster includes two goaltenders, six defencemen and 10 forwards.

Canada opens the 2016 IIHF U18 World Championship, hosted in Grand Forks, N.D., against Denmark in a game that can be seen live on TSN at 8pm et/5pm pt. It will also play the Czech Republic, Finland, and Slovakia in preliminary-round action. TSN will broadcast 12 games, including all Team Canada match-ups.

Canada has won seven medals at the IIHF U18 World Championship, including three gold medals (2003, 2008 and 2013).
