OTTAWA -- Regina quarterback Marc Mueller, Guelph defensive back Zachary Androschuk and Calgary kick returner Jake Harty are the Canadian Interuniversity Sport football players of the week.

Mueller won the top offensive player award after he guided the No. 7-ranked Rams to a 31-9 home win over provincial rival Saskatchewan in a Canada West semifinal Friday. The five-foot-11, 205-pound senior completed 21 of 32 passes for 393 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, despite a snowstorm that didn't let up until after the game ended.

Saint Mary's running back Melvin Abankwah, Sherbrooke quarterback Jeremi Roch and McMaster wide receiver Mike DiCroce were also up for the award.

Androschuk won defensive honours thanks to his two game-changing plays in a 42-39 overtime win over Queen's in an OUA semifinal Saturday. Androschuk tied the game at 7-7 early in the second quarter when he returned a fumble 26 for a touchdown. His interception late in the game set up Guelph's game-tying TD.

Saint Mary's lineman Prince Baffoh, Sherbrooke linebacker Nicolas Boulay and Regina defensive end Ryan Wellman were also nominated.

Harty was the choice on special teams after he racked up 163 return yards in Calgary's 57-18 Canada West semifinal victory over Manitoba Saturday, including a conference-record 110-yard touchdown off a kickoff return late in the third quarter.

Kickers Brett Lauther of Saint Mary's and Boris Bede of Laval, as well as Guelph returner A'dre Fraser were also up for the award.
