Los Angeles, CA - For the first time in league history, a father will coach his son in an NBA game.

The Los Angeles Clippers acquired head coach Doc Rivers' son, Austin, in a three-team deal on Thursday.

Rivers spent the first two-plus seasons of his career in New Orleans before getting traded to Boston this week. The combo guard has averaged 6.9 points in 165 career games.

The Celtics acquired guard Chris Douglas-Roberts and a 2017 second round draft pick from the Clippers, as well as big man Shavlik Randolph from the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix added swingman Reggie Bullock from LA.

In corresponding moves, the Celtics waived Nate Robinson and the Clippers waived Jordan Farmar.
