The Hamilton Tiger-Cats may have their starting quarterback back for the final push to the playoffs.

Zach Collaros returned to practice with the Ticats Monday, one of the final steps in being medically cleared to return to game action, according to Ticats head coach Kent Austin.

Collaros has missed the past two games for the Ticats with a head injury suffered in the team's Week 13 loss to the Calgary Stampeders.

The Ticats have to evaluate Collaros 24 hours after this practice to see how he feels, and if he's ready to go, he will start Friday against the Edmonton Eskimos.

Collaros has played eight games for the Ticats this year, going 198-295 for 2,531 passing yards and 17 touchdowns to eight interceptions.
