INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Colts have found another potential starting safety in free agency, agreeing to terms with Dwight Lowery.

At 5-foot-11, 212 pounds, the seven-year veteran brings more size and experience to a Colts team intent on winning the Super Bowl after losing to New England in last season's AFC championship game.

The terms of the deal Friday were not immediately available.

Lowery started 15 games with the Falcons last season and finished with a career-high 85 tackles. He also had two interceptions, forced two fumbles and recovered one fumble. Lowery also returned two interceptions for TDs in 2010, when he played for the New York Jets, who drafted him in the fourth round out of San Jose State in 2008. He has also played for the Jaguars.
