Some thoughts from the SportsCentre NFL Panel following the Super Bowl:
The New England Patriots had their chances and moments to win Super Bowl XLVI.
They ended the first half with a 14 play drive that covered 96 yards and ended with a Danny Woodhead touchdown. They entered the extra-long halftime with the lead in the game and a great deal of momentum.
Out of the break the Patriots had the ball first and used an eight play drive which ended in an Aaron Hernandez touchdown to increase their lead.
Most times in football the opposing team wouldn't be able to recover from getting scored on heading into, and going out of a half, but the New York Giants did.
That's where you really have to tip your hat to MVP Eli Manning and head coach Tom Coughlin.
The Giants' offence saw 11 different players make either a run of have a reception. Manning said at the beginning of the year that he considered himself one of the league's elite quarterbacks, and after picking up his second championship in four years, he's shown that belongs in the same discussion as Aaron Rodgers and his brother Peyton.
The Giants final possession of the game was all about pressure. New York responded to that pressure in a positive way and the Patriots couldn't.
Because of that simple fact, the Giants are leaving Indianapolis as Super Bowl Champions.
