Dreger: Stars' owner Hicks looking at taking on investors

On the same day news breaks Montreal Canadiens owner George Gillett may consider restructuring team ownership and investigating outside interest in a partnership to own the team, sources tell TSN the Dallas Stars are contemplating something similar.

Sources tell TSN, Stars owner Tom Hicks is willing to consider taking on minority investors, although at this point Hicks is not interested in selling the Stars.

Hicks and Gillett remain co-owners of the Premier League soccer team, Liverpool, and according to published reports, Hicks last week reiterated his intent to hold on to his 50 per cent stake in Liverpool, while it's believed Gillett still has interest in selling his.
