CFL on TSN analyst Matt Dunigan breaks down the quarterback situation for each team heading into the 2012 regular season.

Ricky Ray, Sacramento State (10th CFL/1st Toronto)

The Argonauts finally have a proven QB behind centre, thank goodness! Ray has given the team, city and province hope that the Argo's offence can score effectively in order to compete for the 100th Grey Cup on November 25th.

The addition of new head coach Scott Milanovich and his offensive schemes coupled with Ray's experience and capabilities is extremely exciting. The only question is, does Ricky have enough receivers around him to be successful?

I'm not sure that this area of weakness over the last two seasons, has yet been remedied. We will have to wait to see, as injuries during preseason have mounted to the players/receivers they were counting on to carry much of the load. We know Ray can chunk it, but the question remains if the Argo's have enough talent around him to catch it and make a difference.

Jarious Jackson, Notre Dame (8th CFL/1st Toronto)

Jackson is an ideal backup plan for the Double Blue. He has tremendous respect in the locker room and leadership and experience to step in at any given time. Another huge upgrade at the QB position.

Trevor Harris, Edinboro (1st CFL/1st Toronto)

From Ray and Jackson, we go to a green horn who has shown tremendous poise in the preseason. Trevor has "made hay while the sun was up," and seized his opportunity to stick around.

Zach Collaros, Cincinnati (1st CFL/1st Toronto)

Collaros was placed on the nine-game injured list and it looks like he's headed to the bullpen (practice roster) for more grooming after that.

The semifinals continue as Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk faces Cody Hodgson of the Sabres.
