STRATFORD, Ont. - New Brunswick's Justine Comeau scored twice in the 10th end to earn a 7-5 tie-breaker win over Manitoba's Abby Ackland on Friday at the Canadian junior curling championships.

Comeau will face B.C.'s Sarah Daniels in semifinal action Saturday. The winner takes on Nova Scotia's Mary Fay in Sunday's final.

Fay qualified for the final by downing Ackland 8-6 earlier Friday to finish atop the standings with a 9-1 record. The loss dropped Ackland to third with a 7-3 record.

Comeau improved to 7-3 by downing Daniels 5-2, creating a tie for the third and final playoff berth.

Daniels' rink finished second overall with an 8-2 record.

In other action, Alberta downed Saskatchewan 9-5 while Ontario beat Quebec 9-4.

On the men's side, Northern Ontario's Tanner Horgan clinched a berth in Sunday's final with a 5-4 win over Quebec's Felix Asselin. That left Horgan with a 9-1 record to finish first overall while Asselin dropped to 6-4.

Manitoba's Matt Dunstone, the 2013 Canadian champion, and B.C.'s Tyler Tardi will square off Saturday in semifinal action. Manitoba (9-1) secured last-rock advantage by virtue of a 5-4 win over B.C. (8-2) to close out the round robin.

In other action, Ontario beat New Brunswick 10-7 and Alberta nipped Saskatchewan 7-6.
