Sidney Crosby has shed the non-contact jersey in practice with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Crosby, who has yet to play in a game this season due to a concussion, was a full participant in Penguin’s practice on Monday.

The 29-year-old scored 36 goals and added 49 assists in 80 games with the team last season. He won the Conn Smythe Trophy with 19 points in 24 playoff games as the Penguins claimed the Stanley Cup.

The Penguins captain led Team Canada to a gold medal at the World Cup of Hockey in September, notching a tournament-high 10 points.

It remains unclear when Crosby will make his regular season debut, but he is clearly progressing. The Penguins are 3-2-1 through six games this season.
