The Canadian Football League fined two Toronto Argonaut players this week for incidents during the first half of Saturday's game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

According to TSN's CFL Insider David Naylor of The Globe and Mail, defensive lineman Adriano Belli was fined for a head butt he made during the first quarter and a subsequent kneeing incident on a convert play. Defensive back Lin-J Shell was also fined for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Riders quarterback Darian Durant.

The incidents resulted in three penalties for the Argos, with a total of 14 taken in the first half against the Roughriders. The team took 17 total penalites for 141 yards as Saskatchewan defeated Toronto 46-36 to put the Argonauts at 1-1 for the season.

Argos head coach Bart Andrus pulled Belli from the first half suggested after the game that some of his players acted more like 'street fighters' or 'WWE wrestlers' than football players.

Belli, who has a long-standing reputation as a dirty player, has been fined by the CFL on several occasions in the past during stints with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Montreal Alouettes.
