The Chicago Cubs continue their reign atop the TSN.ca MLB Power Rankings, a spot they have held all season. The Cubs are being chased by the San Francisco Giants, Washington Nationals and the streaking Cleveland Indians.

On a 12-game winning streak, the Indians have moved up from eight to four since the last rankings. Others moving up include the Detroit Tigers, up from 16 to 12, the Kansas City Royals, from 17 to 13, and Houston Astros, taking off from 23 to 14.

Going the other way, the New York Mets slide from six to 11, the L.A. Dodgers minus Kershaw fall from 11 to 15, and the Pittsburgh Pirates sink from 14 to 22.

The Toronto Blue Jays, still hanging in a wildcard spot, drop one spot from seven to eight.

The Cubs had dropped six of seven before pulling it together for a sweep at Cincinnati, which is getting Chicago back on track. A few injuries in the outfield might be minor issues, but when the Cubs keep rolling out their starting pitchers and a lineup this potent, the losing stretches are going to be few and far between.

Had dropped seven straight before their current four-game winning streak, but the Nats continue to be among the best in baseball. With Stephen Strasburg hurt, it's all the more important that the Nats are getting a great season from RHP Tanner Roark, who has a 2.96 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 16 starts.

12 straight wins vaults the Tribe to the top of the AL Central, and they've allowed a total of 22 runs over the course of that winning streak. Their starting pitching -- their top five starters have combined for a 2.98 ERA -- gives them a chance to win every game.

The Rangers have been undeniably great, winning 12 of the past 15 games, but missing three starting pitchers now causes some reason for concern. CF Ian Desmond, a last-minute signing in the offseason, has been a great find, leading the team with 14 HR, 51 RBI, 14 SB and a .905 OPS (with a .322 AVG). Quite a bounce back from last season, when he had a .674 OPS.

The Red Sox have stumbled, going 10-16 in June, and while they remain in contention, what's going on with LHP David Price? He's striking out more (120 K in 108 1/3 IP), but can't keep the ball in the park (15 HR) and his ERA (4.74) is up by more than two runs from last season.
