CALGARY -- Olympic silver medallist curler Cheryl Bernard and Susan O'Connor are back together.

Bernard, 44, announced last month that her team of O'Connor, Carolyn Darbyshire and Cori Morris would disband at the end of the current curling season after a successful run that saw them win silver at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Bernard said they wanted to go out on a high note.

Bernard and vice-skip O'Connor will be together again next season with newcomers Lori Olson-Johns of Edmonton at second and Jennifer Sadleir of Calgary at lead

"We had a wonderful run with Carolyn and Cori, and we wish them nothing but the very best in the future. They are exceptional players and great friends whom we will always have incredible memories with," said Bernard.

"While we had mixed emotions over parting company with Carolyn Darbyshire and Cori, Susan and I are excited about the future that awaits our new team," she added.

Next season will mark the 11th year together for Bernard and O'Connor, who is excited about the team's new additions.

"We couldn't be happier with the players that we have added to our team," said O'Connor.

Olson-Johns has previously curled with former Canadian champion Cathy King and Crystal Webster.

Sadleir had taken a break from curling because of family and work commitments but won three Alberta junior women's curling championships.

Bernard's current rink, which formed prior to the 2005-06 season, was one of the most successful teams in Canada, winning two Alberta championships (2007, 2009), the Players' Championship (2010) and Olympic silver last year in Vancouver.

The team will finish out the season as the defending champions at the Grand Slam Grey Power Players' Championship in Grande Prairie, Alta., in mid-April.
