Canada's Nedohin wins to share lead in women's world curling

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. -- Canada's Heather Nedohin joined a pile of teams at the top of the standings at the women's world curling championship with a 7-5 win over South Korea's Ji-Sun Kim.

The Canadians, South Koreans, Sweden's Margeretha Sigfriddson and Switzerland's Mirjam Ott were all tied at 6-2.

The top four teams at the conclusion of the round robin Thursday advance to playoffs. Ties for fourth will be solved by tiebreaker games.

Canadian second Jessica Mair was back on the ice after sitting out two games Tuesday with illness.

Sweden downed China's Bingyu Wang 7-5. Switzerland doubled Italy's Diana Gaspari 8-4.

After losing their first four games, Allison Pottinger of the U.S. won her fourth in a row to get to 4-4. The Americans downed Linda Klimova of the Czech Republic 6-4.

Scotland's Eve Muirhead, Germany's Melanie Robillard, Russia's Anna Sidorova and Denmark's Lene Nielson were all 3-4. The Czechs, China and the Italians fell to 2-6.
