BASEL, Switzerland -- Sweden's Sebastian Kraupp defeated Norway's Thomas Ulsrud 8-6 in the Page playoff 3-versus-4 game to advance to the semifinal at the world men's curling championship.

Kraupp has handled skip duties for most of the week. Regular skip Niklas Edin has seen limited action due to a back injury.

The semifinal loser will play Ulsrud for the bronze medal Sunday.
