MONTREAL -- Yukon skip Steve Fecteau has qualified for the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship after a 10-4 win over Nunavut's Ed Sattelberger.

Fecteau scored two in the opening end, and followed up by another deuce in the third end to jump ahead 4-1.

After a Nunavut single in the fourth, Fecteau scored three in the fifth to break the game open.

Nunavut scored two points in the sixth end, but the Yukon skip countered with two in the seventh.

Fecteau capped the game with steal of one point in the eighth.

Fecteau joins Nova Scotia's Brent MacDougall in the main draw. MacDougall beat Fecteau 8-5 Thursday to take the first of two qualifier spots.

The round robin begins Saturday.
