Colangelo out as Raptors GM, staying on as president

Bryan Colangelo's time as general manager of the Toronto Raptors is over. However, he will remain as the team's president, reporting directly to new Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment CEO Tim Leiweke. Colangelo won't have the final say on basketball-related decisions anymore though. That job will belong to the team's new general manager, whom Leiweke is hoping to have in place in the next 30 days. Ramon Ortiz has been a pleasant surprise for the Toronto Blue Jays. The journeyman right-hander tries to put back-to-back wins together tonight when the Jays continue a three-game set with the Tampa Bay Rays. Ortiz opened the year at Triple-A Buffalo, but has been terrific since being recalled, as he has allowed just two runs on 10 hits in 12 innings, while posting a 1-1 mark. Full Story.
